Rule of Thirds

This photo is of my bamboo plant and was taken in macro mode to capture the fine detail of the texture on the stems. This photo is centered and in sharp focus. I chose the shoot the plant against a cream  background so that the green and yellow shades would pop.

This picture is of the same bamboo plant, however the subject is on the left side, in sharp focus and taken in macro mode.  The main focus hits the top and bottom focal points on the left side. There was no cropping of the photo.

This photo is also of the bamboo plant and the subject is on the right side. The spirals of the stems draw the eyes upward and the main focus hits the top and bottom left focal points. This was taken in macro mode as well. There was no cropping of this photo.

I thought that this was an interesting angle to take a picture of the bamboo plant because it's focusing on the pot, rocks and the beginning of the plant, rather then of the spiraling stems and leaves. This was also taken in macro mode. The main focus hits the bottom right focal point. There was no cropping of this photo.
